What we need to manufacture your tooling

Use this as a checklist when preparing your RFQ. The more we know, the more accurate the quote and the better the finished tool.

Materials

A2, D2, S7, M2 and other tool steels. Specify the material being marked so we can match hardness.

Marking Types

Raised, recessed, indent, coined, or embossed. Logo, alphanumeric, date, lot, and serial.

Roll Stamp Styles

Continuous roll, segmented roll, rotary roll, number/letter wheel, date coding wheel.

Marking Depth

Specify required depth of impression and material being marked.

Part Geometry

Roll OD, face width, bore, keyway, mounting interface, and shaft dimensions.

Heat Treatment

Hardened and tempered to application — specify Rockwell range if known.

Drawing Requirements

PDF, DXF, DWG, or STEP. Sketches and marked-up samples accepted.

Character Layout

Font, character height, spacing, orientation, and any logos or special characters.

Production Environment

Manual press, rotary in-line, hot or cold marking, line speed.
